A brand new wine from Cameron Woodbridge!
For Cameron Woodbridge wine isn’t simply a beverage. Wine is a passion, a way of life, of living. Working alongside his brother and mentor Jayson (of Hundred Acre fame), he began the process of learning that fueled his love of wine. He decided he would not only learn this art of winemaking, but would make his own wine! After 12 incredibly successful vintages, Cameron has recently introduced Wandering Star, the newest member of the Stormy Weather family. Like the Stormy Weather wines, this wine stands as a testament to Cameron's absolute commitment to quality. Rated an impressive 95 points this Cabernet Franc truly is a star and a clear choice our wine of the week!
95 points! Aromas of violets and summer berries. Flavors of cherries and plums, mingle with strawberry jam and toasty notes reminiscent of roasted meat and Christmas cake. An elegant spiciness are carried along by the firm tannins through the mid-pallet. Berries and spice are joined by cedar notes and a hint of minerality through the finish. While still young, this first release of Wandering Star is drinking beautifully now though I expect it to be at its best by 2020 and drink beautifully through 2030.
